About the Residency

It all started way back in 1985, when the Central Kalyani Co-operative Housing Society Limited was born. It registered itself as a cooperative society bearing the number 36/84-85. Almost two decades after it's birth, the members accomplished the objective of building themselves a residential complex in which they started residing from the year 2000-2001. The same year also saw the residential complex so built, which was functioning in the name of the cooperative since inception, being rechristened as 'Samhati Abasan' and it is known by this name widely ever since.
The Durga Puja started as a harmonious initiative that very year under the Samhati Abasan Durgotsav Committee, amidst huge fanfare and since then it has been the identity of our 'Samhati Abasan'.
